CPEC: For Pakistan and China

CPEC: For Pakistan and China

China Pakistan Economic Corridor is likely to change the socio-economic situation of Pakistan. This project connects Northwestern Chinese province Xinjiang to Gwadar, providing an opportunity to Pakistan to become economic hub of the region.

For Pakistan CPEC is a major infrastructure project that includes development of port at Gwadar, Gwadar City, Industrial Zones, roads network from Gwadar to Kashghar (around 2700 km), power generation projects, creation of many new jobs, etc. 62 projects under CPEC have been approved and work has already been started on some of the projects.

China is interested in CPEC as this is the western route for China to the oil and resources of Middle East and Africa respectively. Through one belt one road project China wants to maintain its economic growth. China is the largest oil and gas importer so it is the need of time to have secure shipping lanes, development of its western part. Get easy way to new export markets, etc. This will also help China to surround India, making Pakistan a natural Ally. The Chinese products will be having much shorter route to the Middle East and African markets. This will also provide China with the regional and economical security.

During these projects, there is a basic need of peace in the country and to make the thinking of the people positive towards the development.
